Client
Voloshka is a Ukrainian confectionery manufacturer — sweets and desserts — selling through two channels at once: wholesale partners (shops and distributors placing bulk orders) and individual retail customers. Coming into the project, the brand's product range and production standards weren't yet presented online in a way that supported either audience, and its team had no self-service way to keep a catalog and promotions up to date.
Key Highlights
2 buyer journeys — (wholesale + retail) served from a single platform.
1 self-managed CMS — products, promotions, and content updated with no developer.
Full product range — presented in one interactive, browsable catalog.
CRM-connected inquiries — every lead routed into one pipeline instead of scattered channels.
Challenge
Voloshka had a strong product and clear production standards, but its digital presence didn't yet reflect them — and for a manufacturer selling to bulk buyers, that gap has a direct cost: a distributor comparing suppliers needs to see the range, the quality, and the credibility quickly, or they move on to a competitor who shows it.
The core need was a professional, self-manageable online home that presents the product range and simplifies communication with both wholesale and retail buyers. It broke down into three specific gaps:
- No structured catalog online. The full product range wasn't presented in a way buyers could easily browse — a problem for wholesale buyers in particular, who need to assess breadth at a glance.
- Inquiries weren't centralized. Wholesale and retail requests arrived through scattered channels with no single, reliable path into the sales process.
- The story behind the product was missing. Production standards and brand values — a real differentiator in food manufacturing — weren't communicated at the point where buyers form a first impression.
There was also a firm practical constraint: the team needed to maintain the site themselves — adding products, running promotions, updating content — without a developer each time.
Solution
We built the site on WordPress, with an interactive frontend built from Vue.js + Tailwind components — combining two tools most projects treat as either/or:
- Architecture: Vue components inside WordPress, not a separate headless app. Rather than a fully decoupled headless setup, we embedded Vue.js components into the WordPress front end where interactivity matters — the catalog, filtering, forms. The client keeps WordPress's familiar editing experience, while buyers get an app-like catalog. This avoided the added cost and operational complexity of running and maintaining a separate headless frontend at this scale.
- Custom Vue catalog, not a stock WordPress theme. An off-the-shelf theme would have capped both performance and the quality of the browsing experience. A custom Vue layer gives a fast, interactive catalog built around how buyers actually browse a confectionery range.
- CRM-integrated inquiry forms, not plain contact forms. Instead of emails that get lost or re-typed by hand, wholesale and retail inquiries feed directly into the client's CRM, so every lead is captured and actionable.
- A scalable content structure — so new products, collections, and promotions can be added without a redesign.
On this foundation we delivered the interactive catalog, dynamic content management, dedicated landing sections, and the CRM-integrated forms, then optimized the site for SEO, performance, and responsive behavior across devices.
Process
- Two audiences, one catalog — the core structuring problem. Wholesale and retail buyers want different things from the same products (bulk terms and range vs. individual appeal), so we designed a single catalog and content model that serves both without splitting the site into two — the decision that shaped everything downstream.
- Catalog and inquiry modeling. We structured the product range and mapped how each buyer type moves from browsing to inquiry, so the CRM receives leads already tagged by their path rather than as undifferentiated form submissions.
- Design. In Figma, we built an interface that presents both the product range and the production-standards story credibly, giving the brand values a visible place in the buyer's journey.
- Build & CRM integration. We developed the WordPress backend with embedded Vue/Tailwind components, implemented the interactive catalog and landing sections, and wired the inquiry forms into the client's CRM.
- Optimization & handover. We tuned SEO, performance, and responsiveness, and handed over a CMS structured so the client's non-technical team manages products and promotions on their own.
Result
- The team now runs the site itself. Voloshka adds products, launches promotions, and updates content the day it needs to — with no developer in the loop, removing the delay and cost that used to sit between a decision and it going live.
- Buyers can finally assess the full range at a glance. The interactive catalog gives wholesale distributors and retail customers a clear, browsable view of everything Voloshka makes — the first impression the brand previously couldn't present online.
- No inquiry falls through the cracks. Wholesale and retail requests now arrive in one CRM pipeline, tagged by buyer type, so the sales team follows up faster instead of chasing scattered messages.
- The brand's story reaches buyers at the right moment. Production standards and values are now part of that first impression — a differentiator that was invisible online before.
